Breakfast Panel — IMNHC 2026
Can We Eliminate
Congenital Syphilis
in Our Lifetime?
About the Event
A candid conversation on an overlooked crisis
Congenital syphilis causes more stillbirths and newborn deaths than pediatric HIV — yet it remains largely absent from the MNCH agenda. Join us for an intimate breakfast conversation on what it will take to change that, and how we can accelerate progress toward congenital syphilis elimination.
This panel discussion brings together implementers, country governments, and global health partners to share field experience and explore pathways for integrating syphilis screening and treatment into broader MNCH and triple elimination strategies.
Panelists will briefly share their perspectives — covering what national-scale implementation actually looks like, lessons from government-led programs, and the global policy and coordination landscape — followed by open discussion with attendees. This is a candid, peer-to-peer conversation rather than a formal presentation, with ample time for networking over breakfast beforehand.
