What does it take for an effective treatment to reach the person who needs it, at a price they can afford? Behind every deworming tablet a child swallows, and every case of anemia it prevents, is a team that partnered with governments to map routes, set sustainable prices, train the people who deliver it, and make the hard calls when plans needed to be adapted for the realities of a district health system.
Cammie Lee joined us in July as Executive Vice President, Global Programs, to lead that work.

With two decades of experience spanning policy, funding and delivery, Cammie comes to us having accelerated high-impact solutions from global institutions into district health systems. Most recently, Cammie served as Senior Program Officer for Maternal, Newborn, Child Nutrition and Health at the Gates Foundation, where she led the scale-up of low-cost proven innovations for mothers and babies. She has also led strategic consulting engagements with philanthropic entities and peer organizations, advising funders on where investments in global health can absorb serious capital and convert it into impact.
Previously, over a decade at Results for Development, she grew its market shaping practice to a team of thirty globally, transforming access to lifesaving products — including delivering 10 million pneumonia treatments and cutting stockouts by about 40 percentage points. She also opened the organization’s first international offices in Ethiopia and Tanzania, relocating to Dar es Salaam to serve as R4D’s inaugural Country Director. Earlier in her career, she worked at Boston Consulting Group and at the United Nations Secretary-General's Strategic Planning Unit.
She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a master's degree in sociology and bachelor's in international relations from Stanford University.
In her role at Evidence Action, Cammie will provide executive leadership across our largest programs — including Deworm the World; our nutrition and school-based health work; and our monitoring, learning, and evaluation function — setting strategic direction across the 11 countries where we currently work.
