FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Welcoming our new Chief Innovation Officer
WASHINGTON, DC | November 13th, 2017 -- Evidence Action is pleased to introduce our new Chief Innovation Officer: Anne Healy.
Anne joins Evidence Action from leading USAID’s Development Innovations Venture (DIV), the Agency’s tiered, evidence-based innovation fund that seeks to deliver “more impact, for less money, with greater potential for sustainable scale.” Anne’s extensive experience spans the private, public and social sectors: she has previously held senior level positions in the Obama Administration at the United States Department of State, McKinsey & Company, and Innovations for Poverty Action.
“Anne will be an outstanding leader for our global innovation and incubation efforts which are so critical to Evidence Action. We are thrilled to have her,” said Kanika Bahl, Evidence Action CEO.
In her role as Chief Innovation Officer, Anne will continue to develop Evidence Action’s global innovation strategy and oversee the work of Evidence Action Beta which seeks to design, build and pressure-test evidence-based interventions, with a view to scaling the most effective ones to impact millions of lives.
“Anne and I worked together over a decade ago, and virtually grew up together in the ‘RCTs-in-development’ movement. There are few people in our field for whom I have greater respect, and I couldn’t be more excited to be working with her again!” said Karen Levy, Evidence Action’s Director of Global Innovation.
Anne holds a J.D. and a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton.
“I have a long standing respect for Evidence Action and the incredible work they have accomplished in a few short years. Their value for evidence and cost-effective impact at scale resonates deeply with me, and I look forward to working with the team to fulfill Evidence Action’s mission: to be a global leader in scaling evidence-based, cost-effective programs that reduce the burden of poverty for hundreds of millions of people,” said Anne.
We are pleased to welcome Anne on board!
