Press Release: Evidence Action and RDRS Bangladesh announce partnership on “No Lean Season,” to reduce seasonal income insecurity.

Press Release: 

Evidence Action, a global development organization focused on scaling rigorously-evaluated programs, and RDRS Bangladesh, a leading development organization in northern Bangladesh, today announced a four-year partnership.  

The partnership will field-test and promote ‘No Lean Season,’ an innovative anti-poverty intervention aimed at reducing seasonal income insecurity in poor rural communities. No Lean Season will reach 310,000 low-income households in Northern Bangladesh in the next four years.

Announcing Good Ventures Grant to the Deworm the World Initiative

We are very proud and grateful for the recent grant of $10.8 million to our Deworm the World Initiative from Good Ventures. 

Good Ventures supported GiveWell’s “top charities” for the 2015 giving season, and we are honored to be part of this exemplary group of organizations.

Full Transparency: Deworm the World Initiative’s Grant from Good Ventures

Good Ventures provided $1.5 million to Deworm the World Initiative at Evidence Action, based on GiveWell’s recommendation of Deworm the World as a top charity for 2013. These funds were donated by Good Ventures to “cover around 75% of the minimum level of funding that GiveWell would like to see its recommended charities raise during the 2013 giving season.”  

In the spirit of openness and transparency that GiveWell practices, the purpose of this blog post is to share how we are deploying the Good Ventures grant resources.
