We are pleased to announce a new dashboard that showcases our key performance indicators for Dispensers for Safe Water in Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi.
Dispensers for Safe Water is a sustainable water service that dramatically increases rates of chlorination of household water in poor, rural communities in three countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Chlorination of water is critical to keep it safe for consumption in areas where water is contaminated with harmful bacteria or fecal matter.
Dispensers for Safe Water serves 4.65 million people, making it the largest safe water programme in the region. We maintain strict quality standards and have key performance indicators for people served, usage, uptime, and revenue generation. We collect data on all, and wanted to make that available to the public in real-time.
The dashboard connects to our MLIS database, and pulls data from it on the most important metrics. You can read more about what data we measure and why here. We update these key metrics regularly but push cleaned-up data monthly.
Take a look at any time, and see how we are doing at any time!
Update: Our live dashboard is currently undergoing revision and we will provide an update once it is up and running again.
