We are so thrilled to have been able to support the launch of the first National Deworming Day in India. A program of the Government of India, the February 10 event in eleven states targeted 140 million children with school-based deworming treatment. We currently support a number of states in India in their implementation of mass school-based deworming. Our advocacy efforts were instrumental in the national government now leading this effort. It is a huge accomplishment, and testament to the vision for a healthier India that gives all of its children a fair chance.
We went out to schools and Anganwadis in Rajasthan yesterday, on National Deworming Day, to see the activities in action. Here are some photos.
